BlogTour Sponsor: Lapicida

September 27, 2012 0

One minute after I stepped into the festive halls of the Lapicida showroom in London, I had already learned something: Lapicida is Latin and mean stone cutter. Makes sense in a showroom full of amazing stones. Lapicida is the stone specialist for amazing interior and exterior solutions. And moreover: One of our cool BlogTour London sponsors.

Up to my Lapicida visit I have never given too much thought to stone in interiors. I have always loved a nice antique stone floor in country style kitchens. But the assortment at Lapicida stunned me: reclaimed stone from Italy, France, even 1000 years old stones from Bethlehem. At certain points I felt like I should float and not step on those precious antiques. But I was reassured: these stones are made for walking!

Thank you Lapicida for being a great sponsor and host in London. If you want to know more, find them on Facebook and Twitter

What do you think of antique stones in interiors?

I loved being part of this tour and really enjoyed listening to James, who knew everything there is to know about stones for interiors and reminded me of a passionate storyteller. They are truly at the top of their game!

My favourite was the reclaimed stones.

How very apt that both you and I are clicking away with our cameras:)

I LOVE the photo you took of the male sculpture but I also LOVE that photo of you (moody and sexy), courtesy of ‘moi’. Thanks for the credit.

I love stone floor and that one with the geometric graphic pattern is my absolute favourite: muted in colors but bold in pattern!

I would have liked to see that with my own eyes. Thanks for sharing these. I’m a huge fan of stone in general. Mixing stone and wood is my idea of a stylish home.

I have to add that I love that first tile you posted, the white one with the grey and black pattern. I would like to have just one and use it as a kitchenware.

I wanted to sneak out a few of those beautiful tiles myself:-)) They really have an amazing selection, Lisa!

Always select those components that take working hours
