Nothing is as easy as adding a fresh, new vibe to your interior design. If you start with the simple trick of adding one or a few new cushions to your sofa or your bed, you will feel invigorated and inspired to spin on and recreate your home decor. I love cushions and I admit, I have way too many. But on the other hand cushions are the best, quickest and quite often the cheapest way of redesigning your home. Swap the cushion covers, add them to your sofa, now think of another little item to tie in the colour, shape or pattern of your cushion, put it on the coffee table, the wall or sideboard and voilà – you’ve recreated your home with just a few tweaks! Here are five happy cushion ideas to get you started:

1. For colour loving hearts, this Fine Little Day cushion will hit it off and underline your style.

2. Sometimes we all need a little reminder to be happy. Easy peasy with this great happy cushion by Yellow Velvet.

3. Lindsey Lang plays with retro inspired shapes and vibrant colours in this cushion. Combine it with one-coloured cushions to highlight the design.

4. Personalize your sofa by boldly stating your zodiac with Jonathan Adler’s Zodiac Pillow

5. If your heart skips a beat when you think of neon hues, then opt for the new Ferm Living cushions. Dotted, with lines or little triangles – the range is great with pattern and (neon) colour.

I’m often told that I have way too many pillows! I agree pillow are often an easy solution to update to a trend or new color, I guess that’s why I use them… the polka dot wins me over as well.

I would choose the Ferm Living cushion Igor… but never for my bed. Just can’t do cushions on a bed… too chaotic for me 😉

Like Mr. Grey above, I would also choose the ferm living cushion. But then, I’m sure you would have guessed that 😉

So true what you say about cushions. They can have quite an imapct with so little effort. At the moment we only have two oversized white ones for our grey couch. I would like to have two other ones to add to the white ones, for cold months…maybe in faux fur or heavy knit. In the summer I could just store them away and leave the white ones out. Yeah…i think that’s the plan! Thanks for letting me think out loud here Igor 🙂

We all need more happiness in our lives and why not be able to rest your head on it while lounging on the couch. I’d go for the happy cushion and the neon dots one from Ferm living.

I lurve cushions, and I am totally in love with the polka dotted one – think I am slightly in love with dots at the moment, and orange, so this one is perfect indeed. Happy evening Igor,

Those cushions are simply gorgeous! Those colors and patterns make me want to feel happy, I can’t deny it.

They would look more expressive on an off-white sofa, I think. Ther’re a must-have, so thanks for the links 🙂

    I’m in love with furniture!
