5 Happy Inspirations: Mid-Week Cravings

21 August 2013 0

Let me start today’s blogpost with this little real life and real-time story: I was about to throw my Macbook out of the window. After two years of intense blogging and loads of pictures, Photoshop files etc., it is slowly giving up. I admit, it’s almost seven years old now, but I am still furious. But I will have to buy a new and stronger one very soon.

If only I were that reluctant with shopping when it comes to home accessories and furniture. With these goodies I seem to be more at ease when it comes to spending money. And to visualize my words here, I’ve compiled my mid-week cravings. If only I could, I’d say: I’ll take all of these to go, please!

1. Dhurrie rug, handwoven in India, via Oyyo. 2. Round Dorm shelving via Ferm Living. 3. Round cushion with Kvadrat fabric via Place de Bleu. 4. Floor lamp gone coatrack via Plusfunction. 4. Merci special edition bin by Vipp.

Happy hump day, my friends (and please tell me you have a soft spot for shopping, too – just to make me feel better).

Ha! Same here, I easily part with money for all sorts of things for my home, but my laptop is on its last leg and I really struggle with the thought of spending over £1500 for a new one. Love the round shelf and the bin – shame I only bought a bin a few months back…

Carole, we are in the exact same situation! But I will have to give in soon and buy a new laptop!

I just bought a new MacBook Pro in March. The last time I bought a Mac? Lets just say a looong time ago. The last model I owned was an iBook G4!! Macs last so long and when they start to bite the dust it’s all very emotional lol. I am just starting to buy little bits and bobs for my new space and I am in love with the floor lamp/coatrack. How very unconventional!

It’s like reading my own story. When it comes for home shopping I’m willing to do anything but to other things… Buying new decoration makes me feel better too, so Igor don’t worry you’re not alone 😉

Great floorlamp! The combination with the coatrack is just innovative ! (I might feature it on my own blog if you don’t mind… )

I feel well understood in the community here:-) and feel free to blog about the lamp, too!

We love the Dhurrie rug – shopping for the home is so much more appealing than boring essentials!

The Dhurrie rug is to die for – I love the colors, the patterns – I could see it living happily in my home!

Oh it was a pain for me too with my old MacBook of 6 years. We had so much good times together and he walked me through the first 2 years of my blogging adventure!

He is retired now but still holds many of the pictures and memories from trips in the past. You will love your new friend Igor!

the rug … it just has your name all over it and for me, I love the round shelving piece!

Love the things you are craving – me too – adore the rug too.
And by the way – my iMac is also slower than anything now, and the wheel of doom (you know the one I mean;-) keeps appearing!! COuld it be I have almost 20.000 pics on the poor thing, + loads more stuff. Updating is the name of the game.
    Happy day sweets,

Good cravings, Igor. The Kvadrat fabric is a new one for me; I haven’t heard of it before. Kind of reminds of me of the geometric paper cutting we used to do in the arts class at school, when I was young.

Love that Vipp bin by Merci, need to make my way to Paris! Know what you mean about the Macs – I’ve been through quite a few. Have a lovely week Igor. xx
