Comfy Interior Design: Snuggle Up!

24 October 2012 0

It has gotten so cold here, my friends. And believe it or not: this weekend the first snowflakes are predicted here. Well, I think winter’s just around the corner. This makes me long for quality time at home, cocooning all day long with a hot cup of tea and a pile of books and magazines.

When it comes to winter and snuggly times at home, I think of chunky knit blankets, soft cushions, furry rugs, layers of warm and structured fabrics, muted colours, scented candles, and a nice and cracking fireplace. Sounds feasible – except the fireplace though. The new autumn/winter catalogue of the Danish interiors brand By Nord purveys perfectly what I have in mind.

What is your tip for a comfy and cosy home during the cold season? Snuggle up, friends!

striking images! It is surprisingly warm here in Toronto this week but forecast says this winter will be extra cold and lots of snow! Maybe I need to go down south for the winter months!

I’m happy to have a fireplace in my living room … sitting next to it in the evening and have a hot coco + baileys is what I love the most!

LOVE that comfy blanket! The fall is drifting in here and nothing makes me happier than a big blanket, fireplace and some of my home made candles of course;) hehe!

I love the chunky knits that Nord offers! Snuggling up next to a roaring fire with one of those blankets would be heaven! I need to take a look at their new catalog. Thanks for the post.

Love the photos, well just being back from Gran canaria where we had 28C so trying to adapt to UK’s weather. I love cosing up at home in London, under a blanket my mum knitted for me, my cat beside me, a hot chocolate, plenty of candles, heating on, a good movie heaven really!!

I would wear some thick scarves, puffed jackets or relaxed cardigans, leggings and some thick wool blanket. During colder months, I love to sit down spending my “me” time in front of our living room fireplace sipping a hot chocolate.
