I know it’s mid July and we are all just kicking in summer (at least up here in the northern hemisphere). However, the new season is just around the corner and traditionally most brands come up with new designs and products for fall. So does the Dansish design label MENU. While a change of season does not mean a change of interior styling per se, sometimes a new season can instigate more changes. A change in lifestyle, a change in preferences and thus – a change of your living spaces. And MENU might have some ideas for you.
When it comes to furniture, MENU has two beautiful new chairs in their portfolio. The stylish Co Lounge Chair comes in a variety of combinations of colors, materials and finishings. My favorite is the natural oak chair with camel leather seating. From the mere look, this chair seems both, sculptural and comfortable. The Harbour Lounge Chair is another novelty and looks like a great reading chair option with a soft shell based on solid wooden legs. This chair extends the Harbour series with the typical Scandinavian minimalistic expression of details and fine quality. Both chairs are the work of Norm Architects.
Additionally, MENU launches a few new lighting options. The TR Bulb Lamps in brass extend the TR series, MENU’s first collaboration with London based designer Tim Rundle. Sleek, stylish and almost a bit reminiscent of the Art Déco period in the 1930s – with the Scandinavian minimalistic touch, of course. The JWDA floor lamp, by Jonas Wagell, is another addition and inspired by traditional oil lamps. The refined geometric proportions make this floor lamp stand out as a design piece in any living environment.
Also the accessories line will see quite some new entries this autumn. Have a look at the airy Aer Vase inspired by the spiralling movement of air or the smart Duca candleholders. These come with a screw that allows you to adjust the height of the candleholder once the candles burn down and diminish in size. The Nimbus mirror is a great addition for a hallway – round, with a bronzed or polished solid brass frame and a diameter of 100 cm. Last but not least there is good news for your feet too: the Gravel rug, designed by MENU’s Nina Bruun, is a natural wool rug with a soft handle.
Anything that caught your eye? For me, the Co Lounge Chair and Aer Vase have the potential of becoming favorites. What about you?
