For me there is nothing more soothing or calming than adding more earthy vibes into my home. I love the natural colour palette as well as the look and feel of natural materials in interiors – I always strive to add more earthy details to my home whenever I spot something new that fits my interior style. Recently H. Skjalm P, a Danish design brand, launched their new autumn/winter 2016 collection. I discovered the brand years ago while traveling to Copenhagen. I instantly fell in love with their range of home accessories with a natural, earthy touch. So it comes as no surprise that the new collection had a few pieces for my home too. And I had to get them!
Their new autumn/winter collection is moody and dreamy with that typical nordic twist. It not only encompasses beautiful home accessories, but also a fine range of furniture, lighting and home textiles. Their collection delves into botanical explorations, plays with metals and metallic looks, uses glass and ceramics. I love how ceramics add texture to interiors so I opted for two ceramic pieces for my home. The ceramics are handmade in Portugal and have a wonderful, unique finish.
The tall indigo vase is beyond beautiful. I love the unexpected size and the tactile pattern. The indigo hue is right up my alley and blends in perfectly in my bedroom. Combined with some dried flowers and reed it adds definitely an earthy vibe to my home. I have also opted for a new, grey footed bowl – I needed a bigger fruit bowl and this one seemed just to do the trick. I love the glazing which adds a natural stone look to this ceramic bowl.
Even though summer is back here, I can’t wait to slowly slide into an autumnal decor mode at home. Muted hues, lots of indigo, ochre, grey, combined with natural materials such as wood, linen, and sisal. All these in combination with plants, ceramics and vintage pieces – that’s my kind of earthy vibe for interiors.

Wow, die Vase ist ja wirklich der Hammer! Ich glaube ich habe mich verliebt 😉
Ich bin auch verliebt:-)
I’ve got to get that indigo vase for my husband. He’s all into nature-themed decoration too. By the way, how did you dry those flowers? Did you do it yourself? We tried to dry a few flowers once but the result wasn’t too good.
Oh I can warmly recommend the vase – it is beautiful in every detail!! I bought the dried flowers at the local market, there is a stand where they sell dried flowers:-)
Earth tones and textures done beautifully, love it!
