If you follow Happy Interior Blog for a while now, you know my love for everything natural and nature inspired. So when I heard that IKEA is launching a new nature inspired collection in April, I was all ears. Embrace nature in the home was their headline and it truly resonates with my belief. So let us have a closer look on what we can expect in IKEA stores as of April.
The timing is pretty good. I am currently on a hunt for a nice laundry basket – yes I know, that doesn’t sound all too fancy. But honestly, try to find a really nice laundry basket! It is tough! The majority is made of plastic or of very heavy and bulky wicker. But the new IKEA collection has a wonderful basket in line – Snidad is its name and I think this one will move in with me! But the collection has way more to offer of course.
The new collection of products is inspired by the ‘Blurred Boundaries’ trend identified by IKEA. It is a collection that blends the boundary between indoor and outdoor with furniture, home textiles and accessories in earthy colours and made of natural materials. What I like in particular is the nod to imperfection making the pieces almost unique. Reconnecting with our senses and relaxing at home is the overall goal pursued by a thoughtful interior style. Apart from the basket I really love the rug and other home textiles in this collection.
Well, I don’t know about you, but I have scheduled my next IKEA trip in April. The basket is definitely coming home with me. And maybe another pieces too. Let’s see. What do you think?
