In a few days it’s Christmas. A couple of days more and it’s New Year’s Eve. And I will be celebrating both holidays in my second home city – Paris. I will be off tomorrow evening and thus I will take a little Christmas blog break. But I won’t leave you empty handed. You know that my mission is to spread happiness. Happiness for your homes, happiness for you. And this mission will continue in 2013.
Now back to Paris: I want to share my Paris happiness with one of YOU. During my Paris stay, I will take you along via Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #happyParis and I will collect little gems on the way. Follow me to my favorite shops, boutiques, cafés, bakeries. See what I discover and pick for YOU. I will collect many little goodies and pack them into a special Paris gift box. I hope the Paris gift box will bring a lot of happiness to one of you and make you feel a bit of Paris wherever you are. How do you like the idea?
To join in, just leave a comment here and tell me what you’d love to find in the Paris gift box. Everyone can join and the winner will be chosen by random.org on January 3rd, 2013. This is my little present to YOU. From Paris with love.
À bientôt mes amis!

Such a good idea, Igor! Right now I’m on a stationery and notebook kick so I’d love to find a selection of letter-writing goodies in one of those boxes!
Enjoy your trip =)
What a wonderful gift you’ll share with one of your happy readers, Igor! As you know I live close to Paris, so I get my Paris fix very often already, but I think anything by Petit Pan would make your readers happy. Their shops are so happy (although a little girly!!) and filled with cute little treasures. Or what about a bottle of that typical “metro-smell”, or Popelini cream pufs or a lovely macaron or… so many choices! Enjoy Paris!!!
Oh, what a great idea. Everybody surely LOVES a present from Paris!!!
Hmm, let me think. Anything from the MERCI shop:)
Go well. Enjoy your holiday. Say hi to Paris and have a wonderful Christmas. Thank you for spreading the Happiness Love and Colour x
Ok, this is too good Igor! Paris is one of my dream spot, hope I’ll make it there some day. I would love some letterpress notecards… or art-illustrated ones. Basically, really nice and cute paper goods. 🙂
P.S. – I love your handmade card!! Your little xmas present is on it’s way but i guess you won’t see it til you get back. Have a great time!
What a fabulous (and sweet) idea Igor!! So many things I can think of, I’ll try to keep it to a minimum, ha…
I second all of the above mentions and would add a small (stamped) book from Shakespeare & Co, and maybe a little trinket for a baby/child? 😉
Yay! What a fabulous, fabulous idea! Will follow you to every store! Literally!
Something from Merci, my favorite place on earth. I bought out the place last spring. XO have fun and what a fantastic idea!
Some beautiful antique accessories! Can’t wait to see them.
Happy Holidays, Igor, and have fun in Paris!
Laudree macarons would be amaaazing =p
Have a lovely trip!!!
Personally I’m having major withdrawals it having been two years since I was last there. I miss it dearly though hopefully I can make up for my absence this coming year.
I’m totally on board with 1Challis’ answer above. Les macaroons du Laduree are simply my favorite souvenir from the City of Lights. Though let’s see… there is the Mariage Freres tea that is so lovely on a chilly winter’s morning (such as this). Photos of the random street art along the Seine. A stolen cocktail napkin from the Four Seasons. At some point I’d love to have one of the little plates with the change in Franc embellishing the rim.
The list could go on!
I love how we all seem to think along the same lines … stationary, tea, macarons … and I particularly love Brandon’s napkin idea. Very daredevilish!
I’d love to find a picture of a Parisian cat in the box 🙂
Have a great time in Paris, and happy holidays!
and now: ein kommentar auf deutsch ;P
Such a gorgeous idea, Igor <3 <3 <3
Sweet stationery, pastries, little sugar packages from nice cafes, business cards from cute shops…. some paris air bottled <3
You’re so nice! love your idea, love your kindness!
In your Paris bos, I’d love to find a tiny old book found in the Seine’s “bouquinistes” , a postcard, your ticket to Le Grand Palais…
Have fun, enjoy your holiday!
Oh, lovely packaging!
Enjoy your stay and I’d love to find macarons inside!
This will definitely spread a lot of happiness! I would love to find something from one of the flea markets, some cute kitsch that even after many years reminds you of this happiness. I am really passionate with collecting such things while travelling. They are little precious reminders of these sweet moments and happiness.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
You melt my heart with your happiness and thoughtfulness. If I could have something, I would love to have a nice pebble or a loose cobblestone from the streets of Paris to add to my collection.
Enjoy your trip Igor. Sending you lots of warm hugs and wishes for the holidays!
This is such a fun idea! I love that you’re bringing Parisian happiness to the masses!
As you’ve already kindly hosted me in Munich this year, I wouldn’t want to be eligible to win but as a fun idea for something to include, how about a piece of colourful stationery from the fab Papier Plus?
Have a great trip! Hugs to you and Philippe! x
A SPECIAL TREAT TO DISCOVER YOU and your happy interior blog, on this cold and blustery Mojave desert night!
Anything you pick would be amazing and wonderful -no doubt
Much Love * Peace this Holiday Season
Such a perfect idea Igor!
I will absolutely follow you, I wanna feel the Parisian’s holiday atmosphere.
I’d love to find some Parisian postcards to frame and hang!
Enjoy the trip!
Very funny idea Igor, you’re great! I’d love to find some Paris photos, macarons, antique and vintage decor accessories or something to dress up the table. No, no, I believe it contains a lovely Christmas decoration!
Viel Spaß in Paris! Bon voyage!
Igor, you always make me happy! Have a wonderful Chrustmas. I think I would like to find some small token that shows your favorite artwork spotted in Paris! Big hugs, Lynn from Decor Arts Now
Great idea! so lovely, you know what I would like? Street posters – you know the ones that you see advertising some kind of show or event that is going on in the town or city, I have thought about this before when we have been on holiday to France (usually St. malo) there is often lovely colorful posters pined or stuck to shop windows, and for some reason they always seem to appeal to me, any way that’s what i would like, that and some sort of sweet treat 🙂
What a lovely idea! How sweet to share you joy! A few ‘real’ Polaroid pictures would be kinda cool 😉 x
Such a cute idea. Happy holidays. I wish I was going to Paris! Thanks for bringing a little bit back of it for us. Something antique from a flea market would be so special!
Oh Igor you do spoil us! How exciting!!! I would LOVE to see a beautiful little hand painted ceramic bowl in the box. Something to keep very special things in. Have a lovely holiday and see you on the other side. xx
I love Paris and I would love some macarons! I have heard that they taste wonderful in Paris and the black ones should be the best!! They would be perfect as a little gift.
Beautiful idea, very special. I can’t say what I’d wish to be in the box because I think the nicest thing about it is the surprise!
You are too sweet! I’m so jealous that Paris is like 2nd home for you. I wish I can hop over there! Anyway, this gift box is most awesome thing I’ve ever heard. HAPPY Holidays and have a safe and fantastic trip! 😀
what a fantastic idea!! Love it Igor and I’m sure I will love whatever you pack in the box. Paris for Christmas and New Year: so romantic!!
Happy Holidays Igor! Any small item that catches your eye would be fantastic….and perhaps a small, beginners fountain pen. They are delightful!

Yes, please bring back Merci. I mean the whole store! That is one things that I miss most, since moving away. Enjoy your time in Paris Igor
Have a wonderful trip, Igor! Can’t wait to see tidbits from your trip…Merry Christmas 🙂
A fantastic idea! Just a simple photo of a special place such as Canal St Martin or Rodin Museum would be enough. And a little something from Shakespeare and Co. 😀
Wow, what a wonderful idea! C’est une idée géniale!
Alors… Ce que je voudrais trouver dans le paquet, c’est un exemplaire de “Elle à table”, one of my favourite magazines 🙂
Have fun in Paris!
Would be nice to find a handwritten note, and some nice French candy!
Have a wonderful trip, and a Very Merry Christmas to you!
Love this idea Mr Happy. You do work it so well.
Some colourful & happy Parisian macarons would be a delicious little treat – très chic.

Eine gute Reise und eine wunder-volle Zeit in Paris!
Merry Christmas and a very happy new year too, my dear! xx
This is so fun! I can’t wait to see what you find! I’m with Karen on the macaroons, but I’m not sure how they’d keep in the post. I’d also love to see a dainty ornament from Paris. Happy travels!
Wow! What a great gift! I´d love to find the creme de la creme from your favourite Paris together with a lot of city secrets, eg small notes describing a favourite spot in town, a great restaurant and your favourite on the menue ect. Like a small travelguide in a box. And macarons de Ladurée ofc!
Have a great christmas and a happy new year!
Super good idea Igor, I love it! I spotted a lot of new shops in the 11th arrondissement when I was there last summer and I love the shops along Rue Vieille du Temple as well. Stationery, home accessories and a little Tour Eiffel would do great. Maybe something vintage as well from the flea markets: vintage lace, postcards or buttons? It can’t be too heavy… Have a good time in Paris, and Merry Christmas Igor!
Igor, you’re doing such a good job spreading happiness, it shines through your posts and I love visiting your blog 🙂
what could be better than Christmas and NYE in Paris?! enjoy max!!! Paris for me definitely is not what it is without at least one visit to Musee d’Orsay, a stroll around Marais, a dinner in Les Enfants Perdus (in 10e), some classy stationery, something beautiful from Merci and of course… macaroons. I look forward to seeing Paris through your eyes and everything that will end up in the gift box 🙂
Would love a pain au chocolat but I know that will be a little tough. Love your giveaway idea and the city of Paris! Happy holidays!!
Frohe Weihnachten und ein gesundes und glückliches neues Jahr. Hab ne schöne zeit in Paris
My dream is to have a craft room, with bolts of beautiful fabric, sparkling buttons and pretty ribbons, I imagine wooden shelves painted white and lined up on the shelves, containing my crafting treasures would be tins, rows and rows of gorgeous tins, different shapes, sizes and colours, old and new. So that is my Paris wish, tins for my dream craft room.
SOunds like a perfect idea … already the box is beautiful 🙂
Joyeux Noel X
This is a good idea!
There are so many beautiful things from Paris, I just can’t mention only one…
Happy New Year!
What a beautiful idea Igor! Now what was the name of that lovely interiors shop near the Gare du Nord ? I visited it some years back and I fell in love with a light-fitting there! Anything from there would be special 🙂
This year I had planned 2 trips to Paris, and on the end I had to canceled them, so you are lucky one Igor, and wish you all the best spending time in my fab city!
I had planned a trip to Paris last year as well but ended up not being able to go. I will some day but for now, I’ll enjoy your pictures 🙂 Happy holidays.
What a sweet idea!I’ve never been to Paris, so in the box I’d love to see something that captures the character of Paris. Something vintage? Or a delicious treat? Something classically beautiful or even touristy (an Eiffel Tower postcard or Christmas ornament)? Whatever you choose, I’m sure it will be wonderful.
Such a wonderful idea!
I would love to find a candle from Diptyque (Wood fire and fig tree are my favorite scents) or “l’air de Colette” candle from Colette (I recently offered it to a friend of mine and I’ll be happy to have one myself).
Anyway, Enjoy your time in Paris! Have fun!
Lovely idea Igor! A gift from Paris, that´s double pleasure. I´d love some antique book or Christmas ornament,Laduree macarons, notebook, candle…that came up on my mind right now. Anyway, thank you. Enjoy your stay in Paris and happy holidays. Best wishes from Belgrade!

Igor, this is great! I’ve been following your photos on Instagram so it felt a bit like being in Paris again. It’s been too long since I’ve been there. A gift from my favourite city would be just wonderful ☆★☆★☆
OH la la la la Igor – I’d love to find one of the mini Eiffel towers to add to my collection, and perhaps some cool Parisian stationary. Thanks for the opportunity, and fingers xxxx.
Oh, I would love to find a petite Tour Eiffel in your Paris box, cause I missed to buy one every time when I was in Paris. Shame on me. So I definitly need to win. Or I have to drive to Paris again.

I’d love to find some colourful macaroons, as I have never tried them before 🙂 and I have never been to Paris…, so I guess any little sentimental thing would do nicely!

A lovely idea Igor. For me Happiness and Paris go together without saying! My wish however would be Paris Chocolate! I could eat them and dream that I was there! Ann
Wow what a fab idea! I would love to make a box like this for a very good friend from home, who has supported me through thick and thin in 2012. If I was lucky enough to win the box, I would like to find things that made me smile and gave me inspiration to draw more. I love to sit in cafes over a lazy strong coffee and people watch…maybe there would be something in the box that reminded you of something or someone but could bring a smile to one lucky winner? Lovely blog to…

What a great idea! A ticket for Playtime Paris on January 26 would be great. But if thats too complicated, one of these supersweet little french cakes would be great as well.
Ah I always have a great time in Paris. I took my now husband on a surprise trip there for his birthday and got engaged in the famous cemetry on another trip (should really remember its name!) My favourite shop was always Fleux, not been for a while but they had a great selection of hooks last time I was there, one of those would be ace but such great shops over there Im sure anything you choose would be lovely.
I’d just love to find happiness in this box.. And I’m sure whatever you gathered is beeing made with this feeling !
