From Place To Space: Canada

Last year I spent two weeks traveling the north-eastern US and eastern Canada. While driving from the Niagara Falls through Toronto to Montreal and then to Québec City, I was so inspired by the wide landscape and vast nature. Lakes, forests, endless horizons and beautiful cities dotted along the roadway – that’s what I kept in mind when reminiscing about Canada. Now when it comes to go from place to space, I see rustic interiors, lots of wood and natural materials, neutral hues and lots of nature all around. To spice things up, I’d add a fabulous lake view. Ok, I’m dreaming of Canada, now…

Oh IGOR! LOVE this post – especially because it’s “Canadian” inspired 🙂 I wish I had known you when you traveled through CA, we could have met up for coffee and poutine! Just joking – a nice dinner out for sure though! NEXT TIME! Great pictures,

As one who is half Canadian, I can’t help but be drawn to this post, Igor! And, I swoon over Montreal! Just a lovely way to end a Sunday evening before the week begins. Happy thoughts thanks to you! Best! 🙂

Hehe I love the personnel touch in the picture.. looking all hip with the coffee 😉
It must be amazing to see a nature that looks so different from here in Europe.. I would love to go to go to the US someday and see where the Indians lived.

Have a great week… I am sitting in an empty home waiting for the guy who bring me floors today 😉

I’m so drawn to that first rustic dining space with the graphic black and white rug underneath – it’s not too rustic, it still has that cosy edge! Have a top week!

I love your Place to Space series! My husband spent many wonderful summers canoeing in Canada and soon our son will do the same. So of course, I’m pulling for a rustic cottage on a lake where we can stay (and I can decorate!) while he does!

I like this series too. Where’s my canoe? There’s a lake that needs tending to…

So glad you liked Montreal (I was born and raised there)! I live in the Capital now (Ottawa) but Montreal stays special in my heart. Did you talk in French?

Luckily I was traveling with my French speaking partner – so we got along very well with a mix of English and French:-)
