I just realized it’s been a while since I bored you all with my home. Ha, so let me do it over again – this time with my bedroom styling! Those of you who follow me on Instagram get a regular glimpse into my Munich home. So my bedroom – as my entire home – is in constant flux. I should rephrase that: as my entire life is in flux, ha! Funny enough, I took the photos a few weeks ago and by now there is even a new plant shelf up in the bedroom that you can’t see here. But you can see it HERE if you like. Anyway, let me tell you just a few things about the bedroom.
My bedroom is probably the most ‘neutral’ room in my home when it comes to color and decoration. And that means something, as I am a pretty colorful guy, right? I always envisioned my bedroom as a natural cocoon to unwind, relax, read, sleep…and whatever else you do in a bedroom. So when designing my bedroom I chose a more neutral color palette with natural whites, blue and green hues. Occasionally I like to spice it up with a few color pops in ochre too – using cushions or throws. Also, plants are essential for the look. Probably you know of the ongoing prejudice about plants in the bedroom? Well, we wrote an entire blog post about sleeping with plants on Urban Jungle Bloggers – have a look HERE!
One of my latest additions to the bedroom is the sleek leaning mirror named ‘Georg’ by Danish design label Skagerak. I found this beauty at connox.de and I really love it. I opted for the oak version adding another natural element to the bedroom styling. Not to mention that I finally have a proper mirror to check my outfits. I was playing around with the ideal placement though. At the end I decided to lean it on the wall next to the door and dressing for a final check before leaving the bedroom.
I really love spending time in my bedroom because it feels very serene and cozy. My bed is super fluffy, I am surrounded by a pile of cushions and pillows, I look at plants – what else can you wish for? Ok, ok, no comments to that question ha ha ha. But going to sleep and waking up in a beautiful surrounding is essential for my personal well-being. I wonder, is there anything special that you love in your bedroom styling? Something that makes it special, super comfy, serene? Let me know!
