Oh guess what – Mother’s Day is coming! Yes I know, Mother’s Day is on different dates in various countries, but here in Germany and in quite a few more countries it is mid May. I don’t know if you offer a present to your mum at that day but I as a true Urban Jungle Blogger, I prefer to offer plants to my mum. Luckily she is a plant lover so I know I won’t disappoint. Now many prefer to offer flowers so here comes a good compromise: How about offering potted hydrangeas instead?

For today’s post I have teamed up with the folks of ‘Forever & Ever’, a plant brand from the Netherlands. They grow special new purple hydrangeas and they deserve the name ‘Forever & Ever’ because they keep blooming from the first year and then on and on – forever and ever if you want so. And another great advantage: Hydrangeas are really easy to care for. Regular watering and some plant food every now and then and they will be happy!

Hydrangeas are not indoor plants. So these are best kept in buckets or other outdoor planters on the balcony or in the garden. For those among you with private gardens, you can also plant them in the garden and keep them thriving in nature. And for all you interior styling fans: Keep dried up hydrangea flowers in tall vases – they look sublime for little interior vignettes!

So what about these beautiful purple hydrangeas for your mum at Mother’s Day? I think my choice is made! The ‘Forever & Ever’ hydrangeas are available from mid March through September in various garden centers – have a look here for close retailers. And you can spot them easily in the garden center: They sit in vibrant purple plant pots!

This blog post has been brought to you in collaboration with ‘Forever & Ever’. As always all opinions and photos are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands who support this blog!

My favorite! My yard is covered in white hydrangeas. They dry a beautiful green. And yes, I keep them in tall vases inside. So easy. So beautiful.

Yes! I have no space for a real potted hydrangea myself but I wouldn’t mind a few stems of a dried hydrangea for some nice stylings:-)

Die dunklen Hortensien wären tatsächlich das perfekte Geschenk für meine Mutter. Aber leider kann ich auf der Homepage von Forever&Ever nicht sehen, ob sie auch nach Deutschland versenden?
