It is weekend, finally! After a busy week at work, I couldn’t help but share this amazing quote with you, folks. I think by doing this I am reminding myself of it, too: Be kind to yourself! Maybe we really need to be kind to ourselves first to spread kindness and happiness to others as well. How often do we catch ourselves being our own slave driver, questioning our decisions, rushing ourselves from task to task, cutting us short of quality time to relax and do what we love to do. Is this all about modern life? I don’t think so. I don’t accept! So let’s take this weekend to step on the break and be truly kind to ourselves. Find your way to slow down, to calm your senses, to focus on your body and soul. Ok, I am getting now too esoteric – but you get the point. I will obey to this quote and stay in bed. As long as I want to. And remember: no feelings of guilt. Be kind to yourself!

I just forgot the time again tonight… and saw you posting an update …. wrote on your twitter “Go to bed! haha… mm you are prob already in bed with your laptop and not coming out this weekend seeing this post…. Night owls! Goodnight you and have a good weekend in or out your bed !
PS I have a quot on my desktop saying If you work really hard and be kind to people… amazing things will happen 😉
Thanks for the reminder Igor! I kind of REALLY like this idea. 🙂 Have a nice weekend!
Have a wonderful weekend! I really need to take your advice to heart because the last weeks have been so exhausting. Couldn’t wait to enjoy these days as I am doing right now: with a big cup of Latte, my favourite blogs and pinning away 😉
‘Be kind to yourself and stay in bed this weekend’ – my plan exactly! Happy weekend, Igor! xo
Thanks for the reminder (we all really need it sometimes!)
I totally agree, Igor 🙂 as you can see here: http://purelivinginteriors.blogspot.com/2012/01/resolutions-for-2012-n3.html
You are so right – most of the times we push ourselves to do something (often we think we just have to) instead of allowing our heart and soul to ‘organize’ our days … what sometimes means to do nothing at all, but sometimes it also means to go dancing, having a look at beautiful things, paiting, reading … just to do what we really love and wish to do.
And of course let’s be patient with ourselves, lovelingly and understandingly … what sometimes is a real challenge, isn’t it. But it should be, actually 🙂
A happy and lovely weekend.
Love. Lysann xo

I did it! 🙂 In bed, in pajamas, watching movies.
