Ideas For A Happy Weekend

This weekend I am off to Austria to visit my family and celebrate my mum’s birthday. But I want to leave you with a little happy idea for the weekend – and it is as simple as the above shown picture: Be brave and add a bit of colour to your home. Colour always makes me smile even though I am not living in a totally colourful place. But colours have that magic power of speaking to you and triggering emotions. In my case it’s really happiness. So the above shown bedroom is such a happy place to me. So how about adding a bit of colour to your home this weekend? It could be a flower, a cushion, an illustration. Or even better: a DIY piece like the painting or throw in the pic above. Any idea what you could come up with?

Happy weekend everybody!

It is a very simple room, yet every detail has a burst of colour which works so well against the plain, smooth white walls. It looks very personal to me, as the bed throw looks like it might have been a DIY crafty project as well as the frames on the wall. Nice and fresh.
    Have a great weekend!

Hi Vanessa! It’s an artist’s bedroom and the wall art as well as the throw are DIY by the artist herself. Have a fab weekend!

Colour is always a good idea, one that I need to pay more attention to. And your post comes at a perfect time. I’m thinking of purchasing a Stelton vacuum jug, in Ochre! The colour is quite daring for me… maybe your post was just the encouragement I needed 😉

Happy weekend and happy birthday to your mom!

    Xx.

Holly, maybe this will be an additional encouragement: I just bought the Stelton vacuum jug in malachite blue last week and love the pop of colour in my kitchen! Happy weekend!

Oh snap! I think it’s pretty much a done deal now 🙂 I’m trying to discover how the mechanism at the top works? Like is it a screw top or just a sealed lid..? I’ve seen them in real life so many times, but I can’t seem to remember now. Surprisingly, no videos on youtube about anyone using their Stelton jug…. do you like how it works?

      Xx.

No idea yet, I’ll receive it next week. But good question indeed…

Here is my comment now! Now I’m not on my phone…. I LOVE the duvet and the painting together. Love that style of painting too! Now that I’ve totally confused you about my double twitter (and blog) identities – at least my photo is the same on both!
