What happens when you blend Finnish design aesthetics with Japanese design philosophy? The result is a simply beautiful, timeless and zen-like collection with an elusive name: Pause for Harmony. Finnish design brand Iittala teamed up with the Japanese designer Issey Miyake for a new collection of glassware, home textiles and ceramics.

The beautiful collection invites you to pause for harmony – to appreciate the simple yet refined shapes, the high-quality materials and the sophisticated creations. All this while appreciating the luxury of a pause in today’s fast paced world. Clasp your hands around the lovely mugs with a slightly organic shape, behold the delicate flower in its delicate vase and lean on the Origami like cushion and allow yourself a bit of daydreaming. Allow yourself a little pause for harmony.

I am very honored to be an official Iittala ambassador and to have received these few pieces to embrace the beauty of the new collaboration between Iittala and Issey Miyake. And yes, I had my own little pause for harmony. And it was sublime.

The nice jug in your pics is by ilse Crawford for Ikea..perhaps she should have a mention as ilse is a wonderful designer…

Beautiful! They definitely have a calming quality – maybe because of the muted colors, and congratulations!

Is that IKEA jug the Sinnerlig collection? It’s so beautiful , sadly I can’t find it in stores here 🙁
