Greens are all around us. Of course there are plenty of greens in the nature, but speaking of a more urban space we can spot houseplants in so many interiors – in private homes, galleries, boutiques, shops, cafés, restaurants. That’s why Judith and I have decided to dedicate this month’s Urban Jungle Bloggers post to green cafés, shops and restaurants around the globe. We are very excited to see what our international green blogger family will come up with today and over the next few days.
I used a short Paris visit to look for a new inspiring green space and I was pretty lucky. I spotted a fab new café through Instagram and contacted the owner, two days later I was there – in front of probably the tiniest and cutes cafés in Paris: Boot Café.
Boot Café is located in a typical Parisian street in the wonderful 3rd arrondissement and is tucked into an old shop. The entire old, blue wooden store front has been conserved and fuels the Parisian vibe of this rather international café. Owned by a charming French girl who had lived in New York City for quite a long time and run by a debonaire Swedish girl, this café attracts a creative and international crowd.
As someone who lives in a small apartment I am used to tiny spaces. Boot Café is unmistakably one of them. It is literally one tiny room with three small tables and a few stools, a coffee bar with a refined selection of hot brews by the hyped Belleville roasters and a scrumptious assortment of locally made cookies, this café is also home to half a dozen houseplants. Snake plants and philodendron combined with fresh blooms make this café a wonderful green urban oasis in the middle of Paris.
If you happen to travel to Paris anytime soon, I warmly recommend a little stop-over at Boot Café. Enjoy a good cup of coffee, be it a latte, an espresso or a drip brew, relish a cookie and take in the wonderful moment in this tiny, green café in Paris.
Boot Café, 19 Rue du Pont aux Choux, 3rd Arrondissement, Paris

I think next time when we meet in Paris we’ll need an entire day to check out all these fabulous green places, including this one!! Shall we start here with some good coffee? So nice that even though the place is very small, plants are very much part of the decoration. I also really like how they kept the old Cordonnerie facade, so charming! Happy Urban Jungle Bloggers day, Igor!
Merci mon amie & Urban Jungle Bloggers partner in crime:-) I think this will be a great place to kick off our next meeting in Paris in June. Can’t wait!!
This place is so enchanting, make you feel like getting on the next flight and head to Paris just for a quick coffee! Love the atmosphere: thanks for sharing another great tip Igor!
Oh such a charming little cafe! I think it’s the small ones that often have so much personality. Lovely little green touches. Not sure if I can join in this month, perhaps really at the end of the month if I do. I’ll see how I go because it is an interesting topic. Great photos Igor! M x
Oh we’d love to have you aboard this month, too Mel! No worries for the timing – we even had contributions for the April topic just a week ago. So everything is fine – join in when the timing is right for you! I am curious what place you have in mind…

What a fab find, Igor. It looks very cute and it’s such a nice mix of typical Parisian elements and a more international urban style.
Exactly my point, Lena. I loved the combination of traditional Parisian elements and a very urban, international vibe!
So nice this Cafè in Paris, I am a real coffee-addicted and I love this atmosphere!
You should bookmark the place for your next Paris trip:-)
One of my faves! Next time, let’s go together 🙂
Let’s make it a deal!! It’s been too long:-)
How very charming is this? It just proves over and over again that ‘size does not matter’. Love their logo…. and your photographs. Great find Igor!
Isn’t it, Tina? It was love at first sight if you want so:-) Happy weekend!
What a lovely place. LOVE the facade, and the blue, and the daisies in the normal glass.
Beautiful place!
It is, Giova. Grazie!
What a great find! The pictures really portray it’s cool vibe and the houseplants really do enhance the interior.
Thanks Sarah. It seems like they’ve got the biophilia concept too – even a small space can ‘breathe’ with houseplants.
Meraviglioso! I would like to be in this place…. now!
Mille grazie Antonella!
So beautiful! and I love the girl’s shirt 🙂
I was such a lucky guy to be that day in the café when she was wearing that radiant red blouse – she looked perfect in the setting!
Wow! Beautiful pics Igor! I love the Boot Cafe logo on the window and the plants on the shelfs 🙂
Thank you! It is a special place indeed. I liked the fact that it is so tiny yet so full of inspiration (not to mention the good coffee and cookies).
