Oh yes!!! Justina Blakeney and Atelier Stella could simply not be not part of your favorites π I’ve never heard of The Sill, will check it out now, it sounds great! Merci urban jungle buddy Igor!
Thank you for sharing this green information! I am still lookin for big green plants that don’t need much light. I have two bathrooms with no windows and I want to bring some living green elements.

Hey Vicky! Happy you like our monthly blog series! As for house plants for darker spots in the home, check out this fab article – it gives many good suggestions for your situation: http://lajollamom.com/2013/03/indoor-house-plants-shade-container-gardening/ Cheers!
What a great idea! Encouraging people to have more plants in the home is a good one, and it’s gone out of fashion in recent years. As a child we had huge plants at home that my parents nurtured for many years. If I was given the job of watering I was petrified I would kill them!
Glad you like my post, Jen! Same here, I grew up in a home filled with large indoor plants and I am happy to see a strong comeback of indoor plants in interior design. Currently, almost all design trade shows feature lots of greens on their stands. And you know what – your fear of killing the plant by watering is not all so wrong: most plants are actually killed by over-watering them:-)
Lovely links and lovely photos – very inspiring!
Unforunatley I can’t participate in Urban Jungle Bloggers this month π But as usuall I really enjoy reading all your posts π
xx
Thank you so much, Emelie! I hope you’ll be able to join us in February again. Have you seen the Pilea on top?? It is YOUR baby plant from Sweden – I am so happy with it!

hey,hey …..I HAVE IT …now I ‘m looking for blue sofa :))))))))) thanks once again …..and by the way I love everything green and alive :))) greetings !!!!!!!!!!
Great idea Igor. We could all iuse more green in our lives. I’m great at garden plants but seem to fail miserbly at house plants. Maybe this will inspire me to try again. X R
How exciting! Love this post!
I’m not going to embarrass myself by telling you how late I took down the Christmas tree this season, but as I did so it felt as if something was missing in that corner of the living room. It calls for a plant, so I’m intrigued by your post. Well, the living room has huge sliding doors and when the weather gets better the patio and garden will basically be an extension of it. Maybe I don’t need any plants in there. The only thing I have already decided is a bonsai tree for the study room, as hubby is very fond of anything Japanese.
I have to add that I love that flowerpot of yours in the first photo, and I like the styling too.
Thank you so much, Lisa! Even with the extension to the patio you can think of a houseplant that will feel comfy indoors during winters and on the patin/in the garden during summer – there are plenty of suitable plants for that:-)
Wow, I am I totally honored to be included. This is a very cool new monthly feature and, in addition to Judith, you have turned me on to some awesome blogs and bloggers! I want to meet Justina when I am in LA soon!
Oh I am so happy you like it, Robin! You are one of my inspiration sources from the very first minute! Happy to know you!
Love these! Lots of new inspiration now, thanks π
Puh I just published my green social inspiration and I just saw that we are sharing the same source. Justina. I hope you don’t mind. π I didn’t know about the Sill but this is an amazing source! Thanks for sharing this!
Of course I don’t mind, Ana!! It is great to see that we are inspired by the same people! Plus I’ve discovered new ones on your blog too! And I just pinned one of your pics!
great post – must confess i have always been more partial to vases of flowers than pots of plants . . . but think you might have converted me! Looking forward to following some of the links you have shared.
I love ethnic as you offer us space,

Hi Igor, I love the urban jungle posts. I’ve really got into my houseplants this year. I have two plants that are identical to your plant in the photo at the very top of this post. Do you know what they are? I’ve been trying to identify them for ages – they’re very easy to look after and look great. (I propagated mine from a plant at work. No one there knows what it’s called either so I wondered whether you or your lovely readers would be able to tell me. Thanks! Nikki
Hi Nikki! Thank you for your nice words and YES, of course I do know what the cute plant is called like: the correct name of it is Pilea Peperomioides. Hope this helps!
I am a huge fan of Justina, her Instagram feed is so inspirational. Thanks for introducing me to the others. I am striving to bring more green indoors. My fern didn’t survive, the cacti are still OK. I need to try again! π x
Wundervolle Fotos – auch, wenn ich selbst nie zum Topfpflanzenfan werde : )
What a great post my friend! Really inspirational and your suggestions and links are top ace. Happy to have contributed to one of your Stella pots:-)
Of course love Robin and find her totally inspirational!
Merci pour cette inspiration verte π J’adore les plantes mais je n’ai pas du tout la main verte π
Bonne fin de week-end
