Summer. Sun. Colors. Plants. Our June edition of Urban Jungle Bloggers is all about the vibrancy and fun of summers! So let’s make your plants pop with color – it’s #plantcolorpop time! This time we wanted to see one plant in front of color to make it pop – in contrast to last month’s über-successful #plantgang edition. Now since I have a few plants that I really like, I could not stick to only one but I chose a few of my houseplants.
My latest plant addition is the quirky cactus that I bought at Les Succulents Cactus in Paris – it is a ‘Hildewintera aureispina’ cactus and I love its sculptural looks so he had to take center stage in front of a yellow backdrop. Next is my flittering beauty ‘Oxalis triangularis’, also a Parisian herself. I love her so much – it shows, right? She had the honor to be placed in a new plant pot that I found in one of my favorite interiors boutiques in Paris, at Curiosity.
Next on the #plantcolorpop catwalk is my cactus cutting that I brought back from Sicily. Look how much it grew! I am smitten with it. Plus he looks pretty fancy in front of the blue-yellow backdrop, don’t you agree? The same backdrop seemed perfect for my scraggy little palm tree and the jungle queen ‘Monstera deliciosa’ remained in front of my grey wall – not the most vibrant backdrop but still color, right?
Enough with my plants and colors, I am off to see all of your #plantcolorpop posts now. See you over at Urban Jungle Bloggers!

Bonjourrrrrr #plantcolorpop from Paris and Sicily! I love how your Oxalis pops with the color of your new Paris planter 🙂 And that paddle cactus from Sicily is just adorable. That’s exactly why I love them so much: they are so strong! Happy #plantcolorpop day, Igor 🙂
Thank you Judith!! Yes, it is a sturdy Sicilian there and the Parisian Oxalis is just as beautiful as you would imagine a Parisian lady, right? International #plantcolorpop gang:-)
What adorable pots and plants! Love it! 🙂
Thank you very much!
WOW, especially love the colors of the second shot of the oxalis!
Thank you Janneke!! I am a secret admirer of my Oxalis plant:-)
He! He! You chose more than one plant! But I can see why – these all look super great. So summery – and ‘poppy’. You make these plants look amazing!!
Yes, I couldn’t decide on one indeed – I just had to make them all pop:-)
Wow, popping colours! My favorite is the Oxalis against the grey wall though 😉 Love that pot as well! Enjoy Plant Color Pop day, Igor.
Thank you Yvonne!! My Oxalis is a true lady, isn’t she?

Große Klasse, Maria!! Ich freu mich riesig! Willkommen!
What a selection! I love them all too, especially the Oxalis with her delicate purple triangular hearts (well kind of), the cactus from Sicily (you know my next plan is to take one home from the seaside too, following your suggestion) and the first one: such a spiky beauty!
Foliage and colour really interested me a lot, one could go on forever looking at tiny details, shapes, contrast and so on.
Have a great summer Igor 🙂
Thank you so much Stefania and thanks also for being a wonderful Urban Jungle Bloggers member yourself!! Have a very happy & green summer!
