Let’s start the new week with some design news hot off the press: Last weekend I attended a dreamy summer dinner with Vitra at the Hallesches Haus in Berlin. Vitra invited a bunch of fine bloggers to discover the new Vitra accessories that will officially launch at the upcoming Maison & Objet in Paris. Over scrumptious food, delicious wine, and relaxed conversations we had a first glance at the beautiful new accessories.
Among the news are playful brass candleholders and a patterned tablecloth by Alexander Girard as well as tube vases by the Bouroullec brothers. The table setting was a wonderful mix of design classics (like the Belleville chairs by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec) and news from Vitra’s refined accessories range. Succulents enriched the tabletop styling and the entire atmosphere of the location set a dreamy dinner frame.
The location itself is a Berlin highlight: The Hallesches Haus is a concept store and restaurant featuring beautiful home accessories and serving great and healthy food. Moreover, our upcoming Urban Jungle book will be sold there – so if you are in Berlin go there in September!
If you are lucky enough to go to this year’s Maison & Objet, I recommend you stop over at Vitra‘s stand. If not, keep an eye on their website for the upcoming design news. Happy new week!
