Why This Room Caught My Eye

Yesterday was such a splendid and sunny day in Munich – spring was definitely in the air. I felt invigorated and had a smile on my face all day long although it was a dreary Monday. This sunny spring mood inspired me to pick a colorful room for my Tuesday blog series ‘Why This Room Caught My Eye’

My eye got hooked on the colorful room of a very famous TV host and stylist – Emily Henderson. The corner of her living room is a stunning colour feast for the eye – vibrant, saturated hues blend into the white and wooden room and the use of ethnic elements and house plants complete the interior styling. But let’s break it down in my three main eye-catchers:

  • Eye-catcher on the wall: The wall hanging looks pretty much like a macramé and catches the beholder’s eye with its ethnic motive and vibrant colours. I assume this wall hanging has been the key-piece to influence the room’s styling seeing the colours repeated on the sofa.
  • Vibrant Colours: The use of a saturated blue is a perfect backdrop for the vibrant oranges, reds, pinks, yellows. A fantastic use of color accents in one corner of the room.
  • Plants: As an Urban Jungle Blogger I can’t help but notice the adorable house plants in this room – the big paddle cactus is just a fantastic eye-catcher!
Does this room catch your eye, too?

Could this room be more you?!! The colours are indeed wonderful. I love the pouf!

I’m glad to read about the signs of spring in your city. It’s arriving here as well, the daffodils and crocuses have emerged in the garden 😉

PS. I think Mondays need a spokesperson, people need to learn how to embrace the new week!

I agree Lisa, it is pretty much what I’d like myself! Love the colour combination in this room. And yes, spring is here indeed! I can’t wait to spend more time outdoors and enjoying sunshine on my skin – I’ve had enough of the darker period.

And yes for the Monday spokesperson:-) Coincidence: I just got something fun today that I must share on Instagram coming Monday:-))

Yes! I think it would be hard for this room to not catch someone’s eye 🙂
I love the art piece hanging on the wall – it is so unique and immediately draws your attention to it! It works really well with the bright cushions and I just love the velvety looking sofa! Thanks for sharing – it’s gorgeous! x

Oh the blue sofa! And I love everything Emily creates. She has an amazing style and if I would have the money I would definitely hire her to decorate my apartment. 🙂

I double that – she seems to be the decorator you’d like to have in your home! Very inspiring!
